Get to know Amanda Dcosta

mandy: I am a writer. I write what I feel like writing and when I feel like writing, which most often is best when the house is fast asleep at night. I am a fun-loving person, yet serious, and VERY hardworking. I put a lot of effort into what I write and research a lot on matter that I do not know anything or much about. I love to write poetry and am currently working on creating a series of poetry How-to guides. I love my batch of writer-friends who inspire me to be the best writer that I can be. But more than anything else, I love the Lord, for all I am is only because of God who created me.

Mandy's Pages: The blog with a difference

I welcome all of you to my blog which concentrates on reviewing articles from Helium and Bright Hub.

With Mandy's Pages, I venture out into blogging 'with a difference'. And what would that difference be?

TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Negativity is so rampant all around us. Its so much a part of us that we don't realize that every other act of what we do or think or say is centered on selfish motives.

Mandy's Pages is a blog with a difference. Reviews will be POSITIVE ONLY. Leave the negativity and gossip for the presses. Of course there will be times when one might perhaps make a comparison to some thing around you, but the review about the writer or article will be positive. If there is to be a negative review I will think twice about featuring it and in all probability not approve of it.

My mission is to make this positive streak contagious. I urge you to take a moment to message the writer(s) mentioned in the posts to congratulate and encourage them on. There is nothing like positive feedback and all of us love to be recognized for our work. Do take the time to send them a note or leave them a message here. I have made a lot of new friends recently with the start of this blog only because of the encouragement and cheering we pass around. Goodwill is more important to me that professional competition. As writers we need fellow writers to boost us on.

Please note that articles that are featured here at my blog are entirely at my own discretion and this blog has no affiliation to either writing sites. The main intent of this blog is to be able to find useful writing material and interesting information at a glance about a particular writing field. Likewise, I do believe that there will be added opportunity for showcasing a writer's talent and expertise. I do welcome requests for article posts, suggestions for change and critical opinions regarding my work. I know there is room for improvement, so please do not hesitate to contact me, should you need to.

Also, if you have written a book or have been published outside the article-writing circle, drop me a line. I'm sure I can make room for your achievement. Other professionals related to the writing / publishing field such as Graphic Designers and Editors too may get in touch with me for some free space of publicity.
